Hallo debianforum.de,
[Debian 8.4,
mysql-client 5.5] MySQL-5.5-Referenz-Handbuch = die Datei
http://downloads.mysql.com/docs/refman-5.5-en.a4.pdf S. 614:
"Using System Variables: • wait_timeout:
The number of seconds the server waits for activity on a noninteractive connection before closing it.
On thread startup, the session wait_timeout value is initialized from the global wait_timeout value or from the global interactive_timeout value, depending on the type of client (as defined by the CLIENT_INTERACTIVE connect option to mysql_real_connect()). Command-Line Format --wait_timeout=#
System Variable Name=wait_timeout
Variable Global, Session=Scope
Dynamic=Yes
Variable Permitted Values (Other than Windows):
Type=integer
Default=28800
Min Value=1
Max Value=31536000
"
Wie kann ich den aktuellen Wert der Variablen wait_timeout auf meinem Rechner bestimmen?
In /etc/mysql/my.cnf steht er nicht. ~/my.cnf existiert nicht.
Gruß

RolandoMySQLDBA hat geschrieben:
Three(3) Options
OPTION 1 : From within mysql client
Code: Alles auswählen
mysql -uroot -A -e"SHOW VARIABLES;" > MySQLCurrentSettings.txt
This will capture all options into the text file.
OPTION 2 : From the Linux command line
This will show options mysqld started with as set from mysqld_safe
OPTION 3: Ask the Server Directly
At the bottom of the 'mysqld --help --verbose' display, you will see the current settings mysqld loaded from my.cnf or defaulted to.

Hallo eggy,
Ja, das funktioniert für den Default-Wert von wait_timeout.
'# mysqladmin -u root -pHq' gibt den Wert von wait_timeout aus, den der Prozessor während des Bettriebes tatsächlich verwendet.
Danke!
