failed to load module "nvidia"

Guten Morgen,

ich versuche nun schon seit 8 Stunden nach einem offiziellem Kernelupdate meine Graphikkarte wieder zum Laufen zu bringen. Hintergrund ist, daß die aktuellen nvidia Treiber die Graphikkarte nicht mehr unterstützen, also muss ich die Legacy 340 installieren. Den Nouveau habe ich schon in die Blacklist gesteckt, den aktuellen nvidia Treiber durch die Legacy 340 Version (über dkms) ersetzt.

Auch eine /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/nvidia-20.conf erstellt und mit Inhalt befüllt ?

Afaik mußt du auch nvouveau blacklisten, benztz mal die SuFu zu nviida hier im Forum, da gibt es schon mehrere threads.

Also es ist schlecht, sowohl legacy als auch non-legacy Nvidia-Komponenten installiert zu haben.
Normaler weise sollten die koexistent installierbar sein, müssen aber afaik über update-alternatives dann entsprechend konfiguriert werden.

Danke. Dh ich deinstalliere alles, was nicht 340 legacy in der klammer hat? Ist das das exakte Unterscheidungskriterium?

ein Monat später wieder dasselbe (?) Problem, da durch Updates die Einstellungen überschrieben wurden.

hat leider nicht geholfen.
