hab eine Rails anwendung die auf einem Debian Vserver läuft.
die Rails anwendung läuft unter port 3001
wenn ich IP-Adresse:3001 aufrufe klappt alles problemlos. Die anwendung hab aber zick subdomains
wenn ich subdomain.IP-Adresse:3001 aufrufe klappt es nicht.
ich hab folgende vhost config
<VirtualHost *:80>
ProxyPreserveHost On
ProxyRequests Off
ServerName IP-ADRESS
ServerAlias *.IP-ADRESS
ProxyPass / http://subdomain.IP-ADRESS:3001/
ProxyPassReverse / http://subdomain.IP-ADRESS:3001/
</VirtualHost>
was läuft schief? Auf meiner Debian VM die ich hier lokal laufen lasse klappt das so.

Eine Subdomain auf eine IP habe ich noch nie gehört. Wie wird denn das im DNS aufgelöst?hanssonny hat geschrieben: <VirtualHost *:80>
