SAMBA SERVER freigabe von externer NTFS Festplatte
Hey Leute,
bin neu hier und bräuchte drigend hilfe.
Ich kenn mich sehr wenig mit Debian oder Linux aus.
Ich habe einen Igel zuhause auf den ich DEBIAN installiert habe.
Ich möchte nun dort an dem USB eine externe 1,5TB Festplatte anschliessen und diese per SMB freigeben, so dass ich von meinem windows pc der im netzwerk ist einfach nur \\DebianPC\usbhdd\ eingeben muss und die daten der festplatte zum vorschein kommen
ist das zu machen?

Bei NTFS Partition musst du ntfs-3g installieren, soweit ich weis.
Dann mountest du das Ding ganz normal
mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /mnt/usbhdd
Danach deine Samba-Freigabe einrichten, so dass der Pfad der gleiche ist.

Maybe the wrong device is used? Or the whole disk instead of a
partition (e.g. /dev/sda, not /dev/sda1)? Or the other way around?

Da ist noch keine Partition drauf !!!
Entweder steck Sie an Win PC und partitionier Sie oder mach ne Linux Partition drauf
Ausserdem heist das dann

Fehlt dir noch das NTFS-3G Paket ?

Wie du in deinem Posting siehst, hat die andere Platte Partitionen
sda1
sda2
sda5
die zweite aber nicht.
Sonst würde da stehen

will vom widnowspc (wo ich grad dran bin) per \\server (oder ip)\usbhdd\ draufzugreifen.
