ich habe unter Lenny (testing) ein wirklich unangenehmes Problem, dass ich unter Etch (stable) nicht habe.
Also ich habe eine Workstation mit einer 2,5" Festplatte. (Das sind diese kleinen Festplatten, die normalerweise in Notebooks eingebaut werden. Ich setze sie in der Workstation ein, weil dadurch mein PC weniger Strom verbraucht und er fast lautlos läuft.)
Festplatte: WDC WD800BEVS-07RST0
(Western Digital, Scorpio, WD800BEVS, 80 GB, 2,5-Zoll-SATA-Laufwerk, 8 MB Cache, 5400 U/min, ~ 40 €)
Wenn ich Lenny betreibe, dann höre andauernd ein Klick&Klack von der Festplatte. Die Leseköpfe werden geparkt und sofort wieder benutzt.
Im Datenblatt der Festplatte steht folgendes:

Nun, ich habe die Festplatte mal mit smartctl beobachtet und bin zu dem Ergebnis gekommen, dass ungefähr jede Minute ein Cycle stattfindet
Damit wäre die Festplatte knapp nach einem Jahr über 600000.
