Sollte es funktionieren. Mit Jessie lief sie einwandfrei.
Hier ist sie auch aufgeführt:

Wenn ich die xorg.conf mit nvidia Eintrag wieder lösche funktioniert der Xserver wieder.
nach apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r|sed 's/[^-]*-[^-]*-//') nvidia-legacy-304xx-driver
ist wieder nur die Konsole aktiv

Warum installierst Du Debiannvidia-legacy-304xx-driver, wenn nvidia-detect dir Debiannvidia-legacy-340xx-driver vorschlägt?
Nvm, solltest Du relevante Infos posten, wie die Ausgabe von dkms status und das Xorg.0.log.

Sorry mit Grafik kenne ich mich wenig aus . bin normalerweise nur am Server ohne GUI und an diesem einen PC mit Grafischer Oberfläche hatte ich bisher keine Probleme.

Warum 304? Das war ein versehen (copy Paste einen Eintrag zu hoch) und ich dachte ich habe es wieder deinstalliert und 340 installiert

Naja, Du solltest vielleicht mal die unpassenden nvidia-dkms pakete deinstallieren.
Und vor Allem checken, ob da noch mer 304er oder 375er Pakete installiert sind und diese gleich mit entsorgen.
