startx führt zu command not found

Ich habe Debian installiert, kann jedoch Gnome nicht mit startx von der Konsole aus starten und bekomme immer die Fehlermeldung: command not found. Bin noch Anfänger was Linux angeht und würde mich um schnelle Hilfe sehr freuen.

Danke, jz existiert der Befehl, bekomme aber die Fehlermeldeung:
config/udev: failed to bind the udev monitor
[config] failed to pre-init udev

Mal eine Frage:
Was und wie hast du denn da installiert ?
xinit z.B. ist bei jeder Gnome- Installation von Hause aus installiert.

Hab WSL aktiviert, Debian aus dem Microsoft Store heruntergeladen. sudo apt-get update und upgrade gemacht. sudo apt-get install gnome. Bei nano .bashrc noch export DISPLAY=:0.0 hinzugefügt. https://sourceforge.net/projects/vcxsrv/ installiert und dann startx gnome versucht.

Dir is schon klar, dass mit WSL so einfach keine grafischen Geschichten funktionieren? Windows hat keinen XServer laufen!

Kenne das zwar nicht, habe aber irgendwo gelesen, das man damit Linux-Programme laufen lassen kann. Aber ein Kompettes System wohl nicht ?
Ich denke eine VM wäre das richtige.
