Hallo Boardis,

habe folgendens Problem nach startx:

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/xserverrc: /usr/bin/X11/X: No such file or directory

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/xserverrc: exec: /usr/bin/X11/X: cannot execute: No such file or directory

giving up

xinit: Connection refused (errno111): unable to connect to x server

xinit: No such process (errno3): Server error

Was mach ich falsch??

Gut, dann machs auf die ff. Art und Weise:

Code: Alles auswählen

apt-get install x-window-system
Danach must Du Dir noch nen Window-Manager (z.B. WindowMaker, twm, IceWM etc.) installieren.

Beitrag von HeikoAP » 08.05.2002 13:17:11

also mit apt-get install x-window-system ging ja schon mal was voran, aber nach startx verschwindet das bild für 1-2 sek. so als ob er x startet.

Dann kommt jedoch die Fehlermeldung:

Fatal server error:
no screens found

X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)

Tja,

nachdem ich xf86cfg ausgeführt habe kommt immer nooch: Fatal server error.......no screen found.

Woran kann das liegen??

Vielleicht an meiner Graka??

Nachdem ich gdm installiert habe, kam die Meldung nacht startx: Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

http://packages.debian.org/unstable/x11 ... x-src.html

Post doch mal deine XF86Config
und lies dir mal die logfiles durch
/var/log/Xfree86.0 is das aktulle

B. 640x480x8.

Dann schauen wir mal.
