Schrift in Chromium
Neben Firefox ESR, der standardmäßig bei Debian 9 (XFCE) installiert ist, habe ich noch Chromium installiert. Bei Firefox sehen die Schriften alle super aus, in Chromium dagegen sind die Schriften dünner und teilweise unleserlich. Ich habe schon im Menu von Chromium Schriftarten geändert, aber dies hatte keinen Einfluss auf die Schriften, die schlecht lesbar sind. Kann man da sonst noch etwas ändern oder muß ich auf einen anderen Browser wechseln?

So was kenne ich andersrum mit Firefox. Die Probleme kamen bei mir von installierten Windows Fonts, die auf Webseiten als Standard Schrift gewählt werden. Die sehen dann schrecklich pixelig aus.
Du kannst das durch Anlegen von Alias-Schriften für übliche Windows-Fonts beheben.

Pixelig ist nicht das Problem. Hier ist mal ein Screenshot:
Man sieht, dass z.B. die Striche nicht konstant dick sind. Das sieht dann je nach Schriftgröße ziemlich komisch aus.

Hinting habe ich in jedem Desktop Environment sowieso an. Welches DE nutzt du?gnome, kde etc

Hinting habe ich an, aber bei Chromium hat es keinen Einfluß. XFCE + Debian 9.

Gut zu wissen. Mein Xfce macht das nicht, aber da können auch noch alte configs da sein.
