Hallo zusammen,

ich benötige auf einem Apache 2.4.25 (Debian Stretch) einen ProFTPd-Server. Ich möchte mit einem virtuellen User "Paul" auf das Webserver-Verzeichnis "/srv/www/typo3cms" zugreifen können.

Ich habe wie folgt einen Benutzer angelegt und habe ihm die uid von www-data mitgegeben:

Der Login per FTP funktioniert nicht mit diesem Benutzer, sondern nur mit dem angelegten Shell-Benutzer, der aber dann in seinem Home-Verzeichnis statt in dem gewünschten Verzeichnis landet. Und das Logfile spricht auch von

Was mache ich hier falsch?

Was du noch machen könntest innerhalb des /home/paul ein Zusatzverzeichnis anlegen (z.B. typo3) und dann per -bind in der fstab dieses /home/paul/typo3 auf /srv/www/typo3cms zeigen lassen. Nur so eine Idee.

Vorrausgesetzt wir reden von einem debianpc, unter freebsd sähe die analoge Syntax zu -bind anders aus.

Na, zum ist das nur eine Idee. Das wird wohl kaum Sinn machen bei mehr als 5-10 Benutzer. Und mal ehrlich, das ist nicht Sinn und Zweck eines FTP-Servers.

ich habe mal einen neuen Benutzer angelegt, dort sieht das Log-Files auch nicht anders aus. Ein Login ist nicht möglich. Und ich habe diesmal die Passwort-Datei mit angegeben,

Befindet sich der User denn im in der Config angegebenen AuthUserFile? Bei AuthOrder fehlt auch irgendwie noch mod_auth_file.c – ohne das funktioniert’s nicht. Wenn es damit auch nicht funktioniert, einfach mal den ftpd mit -d 10 -n starten und den Output beim Verbindungsversuch nach NoPaste oder einen vergleichbaren Dienst hochladen.

ich kämpfe leider auch seit Tagen mit dem Login Problem.
Habe alles mögliche probiert, aber nichts fruchtet.
Bekomme immer 530 als Fehlermeldung beim Login

Vielleicht machst Du einen eigenen Thread auf. Falls Du es nicht gemerkt hast, dieser Thread ist bereits lange beendet und zweitens hatte er eine ganz andere Ursache.
