Linux Debian 9 - Root SSH login geht nicht
Guten Tag
Ich habe ein problem mit Linux Debian 9.
Und zwar hab ich Linux Debian heute neu aufgesetzt und habe schon in der ssh config also /etc/ssh/sshd_config permitrootlogin auf yes gesetzt.
hab Putty geöffnet und hab mich auf den SSH verbunden.
Alles verlief gut bis ich zur Anmeldung gekommen bin.
Da ich nur einen user und zwar root habe loggte ich mich als root ein und access denied stand da.
Wie schon vorher gesagt habe ich permitrootlogin auf yes gesetzt und mein nas rebootet.
Doch es half nichts.
Nach stundenlanger Suche auf google habe ich mich entschieden hier um Hilfe zu bitten.
Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir schnell helfen da ich in zwar auf Urlaub fahre.

Das # am Beginn einer Zeile ist ein sogenanntes Kommentarzeichen. Alles was danach kommt, witd ignoriert.
Lösche es weg bei PermitRooLogin und starte ssh neu.

BTW: Die default-Konfiguration für "PermitRootLogin" ist "yes". D. h, es war auch mit "'#" schon auf "yes".
Siehe z. B. in der manpage für sshd_config.

Welchen Router benutzt Du? Ist der Putty-Client evtl. per WLAN mit der Router verbunden? Hast Du evtl. eine Linux-Live-CD/DVD (oder gleichwertig), damit Du zumindest für Testzwecke den ssh-Client (statt Putty) benutzen kannst?

Abgesehen davon... Rootlogin per ssh ist nicht klug. Vor allem, wenn es nur Passwortgeschützt ist.
Du willst bei so einem Problem neu aufsetzen, und du kennst auch Kommentare nicht...
Bist du ganz sicher, dass du weißt, was du da tust?
Ich hab das Gefühl, du bist noch viel zu sehr in der Windowswelt verhaftet...
Besser wär rootlogin per ssh zu verbieten und nur den User einloggen zu lassen. Dann per su zu Root werden.
