nachdem der Akku meines X220 defekt war und ich ohnehin schon mit einem neuen Gerät liebäugelte, ist es ein gebrauchtes T460s geworden. Das T460s verwendet mit Core-Prozessoren der Skylake-Generation.
Ich habe das auf dem X220 installierte System umgezogen und folgende Pakete aus stable auf die Pendants aus stretch-backports umgestellt:
- linux-image-amd64
- linux-headers-amd64
- firmware-linux samt der abhängigen Pakete, darunter insbes. firmware-linux-nonfree
- firmware-iwlwifi
- firmware-intel-sound
- tlp
- acpi-call-dkms
tp-smapi-dkms habe ich deinstalliert, da dieses die Hardware im T460s nicht unterstützt. Diese Aufgabe wird von acpi-call-dkms wahrgenommen. Die Ladeschwellen für die Akkus habe ich auf dem Vorgabewert 96/100 belassen bzw. die komplette TLP-Konfiguration im Default belassen. Weitere Thinkpad-Besonderheiten wie bspw. das Scrolling per Trackpoint wurden unverändert vom X220 übernommen. Ansonsten habe ich beim Umzug nur Dinge wie den Hostnamen, die Kerberos-Keytab und die Benennung der Netzwerkgeräte bereinigt.
Das Gerät funktioniert prima inkl. susdend-sedation (https://wiki.debian.org/SystemdSuspendSedation. Der Bildschirm ist berührungsempfindlich und reagiert auf Gestensteuerung genauso wie das Touchpad. Aktuell dümpelt der Prozessor bei 500 MHz herum. Der Lüfter schweigt.
Bei Auslieferung war Windows 10 installiert, das habe ich nur fürs BIOS-Update verwendet und danach gelöscht. (Schwank am Rande: Lenovo bietet auch bootbare CD-Images für die BIOS-Updates an. Das sind im Jahre 2018 tatsächlich keine Hybrid-Images, diese lassen sich demzufolge nicht von einem USB-Stick booten!)
Aktuelle Herausforderung ist, die Schriftgrößen anzupassen. Das Debianforum sticht leider durch extrem kleine Schrift negativ hervor, da muss ich im Firefox auf mindestens 120% zoomen.
