Fehler Screens found but none have a usable configuration

Hallo

ich habe gestern auf einen Rechner mit einer ATIRage 128 RF Debian installiert.
Jetzt bekomme ich den X-Server nicht zum Laufen.
Die Fehlermeldung ist Screens found but none have a usable configuration.
Fatal server error Screens not found.

Ich bin aber der Meinung die Screens sind alle da.
Benutzen tue ich den xserver-xfree86 ist das so ok?

/var/log/XFree86.0.log sollte genauere Auskunft geben. Irgendwo steht da normalerweise drin, warum die Screens nicht usable sind.

Der Fehler muss weiter oben sein, wo er die Frequenzen für den Monitor oder die Modes auswählt.

Na toll, ich wühle mich gerade minutenlang durch den X log Output (Der übrigens in der Tat keinen brauchbaren Hinweis enthält ), nur um dann ganz am Ende dein 2tes Post zu sehen, dass es alles geklappt hat...

Naja, schön das es doch noch funktioniert hat...

Deshalb nochmals danke.
Ich habe schon etliche male xserver konfiguriert, aber diesesmal
hatte es nach dem 15mal immer noch nicht geklappt.

Ich hätte vielleicht warten sollen bis ich das 17mal versucht habe.
